During this project, we quickly saw the potential for a website that could centralize all bacteria information from Rigshospitalet’s microbiology department, with even broader potential for worldwide collaboration. However, when we presented the idea, we were met with blank faces. With limited time and budget, this wasn’t feasible for their daily work. Instead, we followed their request. Using only Word, we created a simple overview of all bacteria types provided by the department, with the ability to add more as needed. We also created a clear guide explaining how to update and use the document.

To identify the bacteria they use multiple text heavy Word documents, but despite this being slow and tedious, they haven’t found a better way.
